Focus Groups

Focus groups are split into two age categories.

Intermediates which are for school years 5,6 & 7 and Seniors which is for school years 8,9 &10. The groups are project based sketchbook work covering different aspects of art and a range of techniques. This is to give a strong basis to the subject and good knowledge of artists and art history in general.

We begin our topics with a powerpoint slideshow so that pupils can visualise the artist and learn about their life's works.

Focus groups are ideal for those who are aiming for art scholarships and building their sketchbook work or those wanting general continued art practice. For Portfolio based work we recommend Private Tuition.

Focus groups are run on Tuesday for intermediates and Wednesday and Thursdays for seniors. The groups are a block booking payment for 5 weeks and all materials are provided. Sketchbooks can be purchased from the studio for £8. If you are interested please contact Kerry via email (kerryjones@bloom-art.co.uk) for availability.

Big Bloomers

Big Bloomers, we take a relaxed but explorative approach to art, all the pupils work in an A3 sketch book (£8) experiencing a wide range of materials, mediums and techniques. This is a friendly and supportive group of children working together.

Age 10+ Led by Liz Mellor

Weekend Clubbers

The weekend clubbers create freely on a vibrant piece that is taken is taken home on the day. The theme, mood and materials changes each week. This class is bookable at your leisure on a weekly basis. Led by Lauren Marsden this is a group for age 6+.
